As my family all know, I am several years behind the rest of the Western world when it comes to technology. It took me years to learn (well, perhaps not so much to learn as to like) to email, rather than to write long convoluted letters that never got finished. It took me years to stop using my old camera and go digital, and it has taken me years after the rest of the family to create my own blog. Having said that, it is something I have wanted to do for a while now and I have just been waiting for the right moment and the right title to inspire me (I’ll explain the title in a later post).
I have, however, been reading other people’s blogs for a long time – mostly thanks to my Father – Scriptor Senex. Through the regular reading of his many blogs, those of my family, and others in this unique community, I have been introduced to a whole new diverse world of amazing people, thoughts, ideas, photographs and surprises.
I am writing this blog predominantly so that my family know that I really do exist, but can only hope that it may bring enjoyment and ideas to others in the process.
Welcome to my blog!

Great. Congratulations. I look forward to knowing what my other niece gets up to.
9 May 2009 at 23:11Ha. Your first WV is apuseri. Does that not sound vaguely medical?
Wonderful, really glad to know you still exist and that the blogging community is going to be so much richer. Good luck - you may be assured of this follower!
10 May 2009 at 16:40Meant to say - I like the classic lines of your blog template.

11 May 2009 at 01:05Looking forward to future postings. Oh, and don't feel too terribly behind. It ALWAYS takes me a fine amount of dipping my toe in before I leap :o)
Hello and welcome to blog-world, Bryony.
11 May 2009 at 05:43I follow your Pop's one!
I was a late-comer to computer, I was 60 before I even got to touch one, and even then thought "not for me", how wrong I was! I soon got hooked, and I am sure it is helping my brain not to atrophy just yet!
Love Granny
Welcome! I, too, am always a bit behind when it comes to new things. Hubby seems to drag me into the future on a daily basis!
